10,000 bees in a keg-sized hive in my parents’ front yard. NBD.
Unfortunately, they had to destroy the hive because they couldn’t tell if the bees were Africanized (i.e., dangerous) or not. There was no edible honey in the hive and with so many bees, it was too dangerous to try to relocate the hive. Big bummer, but nothing else they could do.
